CACIB Tulln & Retriever Festival Grafenegg last weekend: Chap (A Sense of Pleasure’s No Risk No Fun) entered in Champion Class:
Unfortunately we had bad luck and a little problem with the front left paw (movement was not clean), but we are happy about the results of first time in Champion Class anyway:

Chaps offspring „Diego“ (Honeymoon Labs Always my Friend) is becoming a rescue dog! We received these nice pictures by Diego’s owners showing him at the training. We are very proud of Diego working so hard !!! The pictures show nicely how much fun he has at work 🙂
Last Saturday we had a very, very nice day at Honeymoon Labs Kennel with Chap, Kimi and their Offspring! Weather was lucky – being almost sunny all the time – and the BBQ was gorgeous!!!
A perfect day with nice people and it was so lovely to see the beautiful „pack in black“ swishing around

Chap – A Sense of Pleasure’s No Risk No Fun is officially Austrian Champion ÖCH !
Chap (ÖJCH A Sense of Pleasure’s No Risk No Fun) was able to win the Working Class judged by Mrs. Pieta van Dee (F) with V1 / Exc.1 CACA and by this victory, he collected his last ticket for the award: AUSTRIAN CHAMPION (ÖCH)!
Later in the main rain he additionally achieved the title „Best Working Dog“ of the Clubshow 2014 out of all retriever breeds Working Class winners (male+female), judged by Mrs. Audrey Richardson (GB)!!!
We are very very happy and proud of Chap awarding the Austrian Champion title at the age of 2 and a half years!
Unfortunately we had bad luck at the affiliated Working Test (Novice) on Sunday and could not pass, but once again he showed his very good working potential — obviously we still need more regular training 😉
Vergangenes Wochenende verbrachten wir eine schöne Zeit unter Retrieverfreunden beim diesjährigen „Tyrolean Cup“ in Seefeld/Tirol. Der Tyrolean Cup ist ein 2tägiger Workingtest, der als Team-Dummybewerb ausgetragen wird. 25 Teams aus je einem Novice(L), einem Intermediate(M) und einem Open Hund(S) bestreiten über 9 Stationen den Teambewerb, die 6 Aufgaben des ersten Tages werden zusätzlich in einer Einzelwertung gemessen. Das spannende an der ganzen Sache ist, dass die Teams vor Beginn des Bewerbs per Zufallsprinzip ausgelost werden! Mit Teilnehmern aus Österreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz war ein internationales Starterfeld anwesend.
Für Chap und mich war es überhaut unser zweiter Antritt bei einem Workingtest in der Stufe Novice(L) und wir hofften, unser Team so gut als möglich mit Punkten unterstützen zu können!
Die 9 Aufgaben bestritten wir insgesamt mit super Bewertungen:
20 / 20 / 12 / 7 / 20 / 0 / 20 / 19 / 20 Punkten (von jeweils 20).
Somit trugen wir doch einiges mehr an Punkten zur Teamwertung bei, als erwartet und damit erreichte unser „Team 22“ bestehend aus:
den tollen 8. Platz in der Gesamtwertung!

Wie man sieht, hatten wir bei einer Aufgabe des ersten Tages (Station 6) kein Glück und in der Einzelwertung „einen Nuller“ dabei — damit konnten wir leider nicht mit einem bestandenen WT-L im Gepäck nach Hause fahren. Unsere sehr gute Gesamtleistung an diesem Wochenende, 2 nette Tage bei traumhaftem Wetter in einem wunderschönen Revier, ein super nettes Team mit Ruth und Gerhard und das tolle Ergebnis in der Teamwertung diente jedoch als gute Entschädigung!
Ganz besonders happy sind wir auch über den Erfolg von Martina und Leah (Quess of Lubberland):
Martina und Leah konnten mit ihrem „Team 9“ den 1. Platz und damit den Sieg in der Teamwertung erreichen!!! Wir sind mega-stolz auf Euch !!!
We are happy about an exhausting but successful „show and work“ weekend! Last Saturday we attended the international dog show CACIB Wieselburg with Chap (ÖJCH A Sense of Pleasure’s No Risk No Fun) – Chap was able to achive the 2nd place in the working class with V2/Exc.2, Res. CACA!
On next day Hans and Leah (Quess of Lubberland) started at the BSP Tournament in Eisenwurzen – it was a „muddy sunday“ and the parcours was very hard to run, but with three fast sprints and excellent obedience work we were able to achieve the 2nd place that day too!!!
Die Breitensport-Saison 2014 wurde als neues Team mit Leah (Quess of Lubberland) begonnen. Der Trainingsfortschritt erfolgte viel schneller als erwartet und so konnten wir bereits im April unsere erstes und Anfang Mai unser zweites Breitensportturnier bestreiten.
Mit sehr guter Unterordnung und schnellen, zuverlässigen Läufen (und einem schnellen Herrli) konnten wir es in beiden Fällen aufs Podest schaffen!

As overall only 5 males of all classes were rated „vorzüglich/excellent“ by Judge Mr. Petr Studenik (CZ) today, we are very happy with this result! 🙂
